Catrpillr is a home automation system built from scratch. It provides the instructions to build the hardware as well as the complete software framework to build your own home automation system.
Catrpillr - Home Automation System
Wireless remote sensors and actuators report data measurements from around the house and act on commands sent to them. Applications range from energy monitoring to full house automation such as controlling lights and garage doors from an iPhone.
The Master device is the main piece of hardware that ties the entire remote endpoints together. It contains a radio-frequency (RF) receiver and transmitter and can hence send commands to remote devices and receive commands and data from remote sensors.

Seoul Semiconductor is a Korean company manufacturing Optical Semiconductors like LED devices for Lighting. They have designed a LED chip called Acriche, a semiconductor light source that operates directly from AC power or Mains Power, useful for residential and commercial lighting.
